Getahn Ward at The Tennessean has added more information to our recent piece on the pending redevelopment of a high-profile stretch of Broadway. In addition to razing the Victorian home that once housed clothing designer Manuel's studio, developer Ardavan Afrakhteh also plans to demolish the structure home to Noshville and erect a condominium building with the popular restaurant as a ground-floor tenant.
Glen Smith, Noshville's director of operations, said the diner is pursuing a short-term lease on space where it would move and continue to offer its staple items on a limited menu while redevelopment is underway. "We'll be going back into the new building," he said, adding work on the project that includes its home of more than 18 years won't start for another year.
