Nashville ESPN Radio affiliate 106.7 The Fan ended its run this morning after four and a half years, with officials running promos advertising a format switch Thursday. One of the biggest local players affected is MTSU's athletic department, whose boss is crossing his fingers he can find a new partner before opening day.

Former Titans President Jeff Diamond is helping a young Minnesota sports agent build a company that takes a 'holistic approach to representation. Also in the mix is the actor who played Steve Urkel.
"I think it's going to be a lot of fun," Diamond said. "I would say the team he's put together has some great potential. ... We're just kind of wide-open going in and we'll see how it unfolds. I think it will be a different experience. I'm sure some of my friends around the NFL will think it's interesting for me being involved."

Gerry Helper, the NHL team's VP of communications and development, has been selected to help USA Hockey before and during the Winter Olympics in Vancouver next winter.
“Things like the Olympics don’t come around too often,” Helper said. “So I view this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
