Metova names lead developer
Mobile application development firm Metova has promoted Beverly Massengill to lead developer. Massengill joined Metova in January of last year as a developer. She will continue that work but also assist and mentor other developers. Before coming to Franklin-based Metova, Massengill assisted in research on graph-based anomaly detection as a computer science graduate student at Tennessee Technological University.

'Real estate agent to the stars' dies at 66
Music Row real estate agent Lura Bainbridge Brothers, who helped Garth Brooks, John Fogerty, Roseanne Cash and others buy homes over the years, died late last week at age 66. Brothers, the wife of Davidson County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Brothers, was born in Greeneville and raised in Cuba and Florida before graduating from the University School of Nashville. She launched her own business in 1985 having started her career at several recording ventures and spent six years at the Dobson & Johnson home brokerage firm.
A memorial service is scheduled for May 9 at 2 p.m. at Belmont Church on Music Square East. Visitation begins at 1 p.m.
