Solutions giving way to problems

Admissions at psychiatric hospitals appear to have fallen off big time in the last few months, according to Longbow Research, which has downgraded Psych Solutions shares (Ticker: PSYS) from 'buy' to 'neutral.'
He added that most of the respondents expect admissions in the first quarter of 2009 to be about equal to the first quarter of 2008. Psychiatric facilities typically report increased admissions after the holidays, he said, but the weak economic climate is pressuring hospital budgets and patients.
