Virginia-based home builder NVR is introducing its Ryan Homes brand to Middle Tennessee via developments in Franklin and Brentwood. The company is promising "affordable luxury through a variety of dramatic estate-style homes" that will be energy-efficient.

Memphis eye care specialists Toyos Clinic are preparing to open the doors to their first clinic in Middle Tennessee on Frazier Drive in Cool Springs. Toyos also runs clinics in Union City and Southaven, Miss.

Detroit-based FutureNet Group has completed its acquisition of Smith & Wesson Security Solutions, the former Universal Safety Response. The roughly $10 million deal announced last month will bring some job security and growth prospects to 80 people in Cool Springs.
