Butler Snow's Malone to lead 100 Black Men

Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada attorney Melvin J. Malone has been named chairman of 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee, Inc.

Malone (pictured) is a member of the firm’s government, environmental and energy group. His practice focuses on telecommunications, utilities, governmental relations, start-ups, nonprofits and commercial litigation. 

“We are honored Melvin has been chosen to lead a group that makes such a dramatic impact in shaping the lives of young men across Middle Tennessee,” Donald Clark, Jr., Butler Snow chairman, said in a release. “Community service is a hallmark of our firm, and Melvin is advancing that vision throughout Nashville each and every day.”

Malone, who recently served as chair of Tennessee State University’s Foundation Board of Trustees, is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Tennessee Bar Association Foundation and the Nashville Bar Foundation.

Malone completed his undergraduate education and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee. 

The 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee is a nonprofit organization providing resources to further the academic and social development of students in

Nashville and surrounding Middle Tennessee schools.
