GNAR names Pilkerton's Stone president

The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors has elected Hagan Stone as president for 2014, effective Jan. 1.

Stone, who is affiliated with the Brentwood office of Pilkerton Realtors, was sworn in this morning along with other GNAR officers. He will replace current president Price Lechleiter (Fridrich & Clark Realty).

Officers serving with Stone for 2014 include Cindy Stanton (Crye-Leike, Inc. Realtors), president-elect; Denise Creswell (Pilkerton Realtors), secretary/treasurer; Brian Copeland (Village Real Estate Services), vice president; Scott Troxel (Keller Williams Realty), vice president; and the aforementioned Lechleiter immediate past president.

Stone has served on the GNAR board of directors since 2009 and was named GNAR Realtor of the Year in 2010. He volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, serves on the Belmont University Alumni Board, helped organize the curriculum for Youth Leadership Brentwood and has a long-standing involvement with Young Life.

“Hagan Stone is not only a great leader, but he is also a great person,” Lechleiter, said in the release. “His experience and expertise in the real estate market give him a unique perspective that will benefit both GNAR members and the community.

Stone’s GNAR involvement has included service on the Membership, Professional Standards, Convention, Awards of Excellence and Young Professionals Network committees.

GNAR members also elected four new at-large directors on rotating three-year terms for 2014-16.  Those elected include Kristy Hairston (Village Real Estate Services), Sher Powers (Urbane Residential Specialists), Beverly Spellings (Worth Properties) and Andrea Woodard (Parks).

Also elected or appointed to one-year terms of specialized director service were Alan Ragan (Ragan’s Five Rivers Realty and Auction) as president of GNAR’s Dickson Chapter and Scott Ghertner (Ghertner & Company) as Commercial Committee chair. Christie Wilson (The Wilson Group Real Estate Services) will serve the first year of her two-year term as GNAR’s representative on the MTRMLS (RealTracs Solutions) board of directors.

Those completing their terms of service on the GNAR board this year include Marilyn Blankenship (Fridrich & Clark Realty), Amy Cannon (BrokerSouth Real Estate Partners), Kendra Cooke (Bob Parks Realty), Mark Deutschmann (Village Real Estate Services) and Rusty Moore (Parks).
