Ensworth remained No. 13 in USA Today’s Super 25 national high school football rankings following a 55-13 victory over Chattanooga Brainerd on Friday.
The Tigers already have proven more than most, though.
Ensworth is the highest rated of four teams in the top 25 that already have played two games. In fact, three of the schools among the top 12 have yet to open their seasons.
One of the other three with two games in the books is No. 23 Trinity (Louisville), which is 1-1 – with a loss to Ensworth.
The Tigers are off this week, which will give other programs a chance to catch up on the schedule (or to lose a game), before they play Pope John Paul II on Sept. 13.
