Six-run inning too much to overcome for South Nashville

South Nashville has always played with their backs against the wall and two impressive wins in the repechage at the Little League World Series made it look like they might have another run in them.

After striking out the first six Sammamish, Washington, batters he faced, Trae McLemore surrendered six runs in the bottom of the second — four unearned, due to an error and a passed ball — and while South Nashville mounted a bit of a comeback, but could never find that sixth run.

So now we wonder: is Little League a Nashville thing now? Goodlettsville's run to Williamsport was the first for a Nashville-area team since 1970 and now the Nashville area has done it two years in a row.
