Charles Robert Bone has a half million in the bank:
Charles Robert Bone’s mayoral campaign today announced that the campaign would report over $508,000.00 cash on hand as of the June 30 fundraising deadline.
Nearly 400 individuals have given more than $315,000.00. In addition, Bone, as he has promised since he began his campaign, loaned the campaign $200,000.00. "I believe I should be ready to do whatever I ask others to do," Bone said, "including supporting this campaign financially.”
Bone, who officially announced his candidacy on May 8, held a widely attended campaign kick-off event last month at the newly renovated Acme Feed & Seed building on Broadway. Following the June 25 event Bone reflected, “The energy and enthusiasm was truly unbelievable and was reflective of the diversity in Nashville.” There were over 300 supporters on hand to celebrate the campaign kick-off.
“In just a few short weeks, we’ve raised a substantial amount of money from hundreds of donors. We’re very grateful for their support and look forward to sharing Charles Robert’s vision for our city as the campaign continues,” said Bone for Mayor Treasurer Stacey Garrett.
“While fundraising is important to establishing a credible and well-organized campaign, I fully understand that this campaign is about far more than who can raise the most money.” Bone continued, “Our campaign intends to work day-in and day-out to ensure that each family and community throughout the City has a legitimate opportunity to prosper.”
