Here's a good explanation of the republishing rule, learned by every first-year journalism student and, presumably, at some point during torts by law students, which Campfield was at one point. Also, he's miles away from the neutral reportage exception here, obviously, as he could hardly be considered neutral when he's talking about a political opponent.
