“I am very concerned by the Tennessee Department of Education and there [sic] actions against Metro Nashville Public Schools.”
“Each school board knows the best way to handle their students.  In a vote of 5-4 the Metro Nashville Public School board denied Great Hearts Academy an ability to set up a charter school and I stand by their decision.”
“If the state decides to step in and overrule a local school board’s decision, then the state should be prepared to pick up the cost of funding that local school.”
