Oh jeez

More on Mark Clayton, YOUR Tennessee Democratic Party Senate candidate from MoJo:

Mark Clayton believes the federal government is building a massive, four-football-field wide superhighway from Mexico City to Toronto as part of a secret plot to establish a new North American Union that will bring an end to America as we know it. On Thursday, he became the Tennessee Democrats' nominee for US Senate.

Many of these "evil" Mexican

Many of these "evil" Mexican trucks will be bringing parts to American assembly plants, hence it will benefit the USA in so very many ways. Perhaps if you had ever traveled eastern Europe in the past you would have familiarity with often times almost impassable borders and the stifling effect it has on commerce. You do favor good jobs for American workers, or is it just modern era anarchy?

I don't know what this has to

I don't know what this has to do with Obama. I am Not a Birther.  I don't care about his religion or where he was born. I do care that he said he was going to close Gitmo and did not, and all the things like that.  But that is typical campaing speech.

Look at NAFTA and CAFTA closely. We do not need more entagleing aliances with the UN.

Mickey, I think there are

Mickey,

I think there are real issues of concern about international free trade, in no small part because large corporations and other nations don't reaally believe in 'free trade.'

My issue with you is that the times you are right get lost in all the times that you are either wrong or when you blow small things into crises.

This has become a default habit of people on the right since Clinton.  Magnify the smallest error or failing into a huge disaster and call for impeachment or other punishment.  In the case of President Obama, it was attacks on his ties to Islam or his 'birth' in Kenya.

All this 'crying wolf' does is ensure that when the wolf actually shows up, the villagers won't pay attention.  And there go the sheep nd the country.

Even if President Obama were a communist atheist Muslim illegal alien, none of that matters for America and Americans as much as the short and long term implications of his policies which are far more frightening in so many ways.

Rep. Hill introduces legislation aimed at breaking any link to Canada, Mexico
January 27, 2010

In a bizarre twist of politics, a lawmaker in the state of Tennessee is trying to make it a crime to work on I-69.

Rep. Matthew Hill has introduced House Bill 2785, which will make it a Class E felony under Tennessee’s criminal code for anyone at the Tennessee DOT to knowingly enter in any contract for work on I-69.

Apparently, Hill wants to prevent the route from linking Canada, U.S. and Mexico.

“The whole purpose is to keep our state sovereignty intact,” Hill told The Commercial Appeal. “I’m not against roads. I’m against ceding over our state sovereignty to international authority.”

The people who live around the I-69 corridor, however, view any highway work as a way to bust out of the troubled economy, even if it would serve as a temporary fix.

State Senate Majority Leader Mark Norris said I-69 is a critical link in the interstate system and did not believe Hill’s measure would pass.

Mark Norris has always

Mark Norris has always supported Internationalism over Sovereignty. No surpirse here.

Mickey thinks that Tennessee

Mickey thinks that Tennessee interacting with Virginia and Kentucky and Georgia and North Carolina and Alabama and Mississippi and Arkansas is Internationalism.

Well, ok, he has a point about Mississippi and Arkansas.

Mark, did you not ever hear

Mark, did you not ever hear of International Free Trade Zones? There are some there now. And ofcourse the North American Highway, leases to other governments, Mexican Trucks...
