I don't get it, I was in St. Louis last week and paid sales tax of 10.0% and 10.7% at 2 different restaurants in the downtown area. The 10.0% was paid at Union Station and the 10.7% was at a restaurant in the LaClede's Landing area. These could have been subject to some sort of 'Tourism-zone' surcharge, but still to complain about the maximum rate of 9.75% in Tennessee when still not paying an income tax is really rediculous.

Yay, we're the most regressive! Our poor people pay higher taxes so those rich sots in Belle Meade, Collierville, Farragut and Williamson County don't have to! Woo-hoo!

It's their "culture" Steve! As Mitty says, they are just products of a better 'culture". Plus, you know they are creating all these jobs for the great unwashed. Leave the Bourgeois alone, they are beyond ridicule!
