The Blue Card Challenge
Getting spicy in the 57th:
Please find below a message that was delivered to Susan Lynn on Thursday July 26th.
I am awaiting her reply.
Ms. Lynn,
It is unfortunate that you have denied the voters of District 57 the opportunity for us to meet face to face for a discussion of the issues in this campaign. You’ve denied the voters something they are rightfully entitled to, not once but twice!
One of the ongoing issues in this campaign has been which district you live in. Despite the Election Commission voter rolls clearly showing that you are in District 46, you continue to insist that you live in District 57, where you are attempting to be elected.
There is a very simple way to resolve this issue with finality. I challenge you to meet me in Mt. Juliet, at the time and place of your choosing between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, for a Blue Card challenge.
As you know, the Election Commission issued new voter registration cards, and they are on blue paper.
I challenge you to bring your “blue card” and allow those in attendance to see that it says you are in District 46.
You and I both know that you cannot vote for yourself on August 2 because you DO NOT live in District 57. You will be able to cast a vote for Mark Pody if you so desire, but not for yourself.
The voters deserve to know the TRUTH!
If you accept my Blue Card challenge, you may reach me at LCElam@comcast.net, or by phone at 866-7882.
I hope to hear from you before 5: 00 pm Saturday.
Yours,
Linda Elam
State Representative
District 57
