Marsha Blackburn is digging in on tax increases:
“I do not want to see anyone’s taxes go up,” she said Tuesday night during a break between House meetings. “Making sure taxes don’t go up on anyone is incredibly important.”
The attention should be directed elsewhere, Blackburn said.
“I want to see spending cuts,” she said. “Washington has an incredible spending problem, not a revenue problem. And we continue to kick the can down the road.”
Earlier Tuesday, Blackburn told Congressional Quarterly, “I am a don’t-raise-any taxes girl.”
