They ought to be "walking it back" starting with the bloated fleet of deputy and assistant commissioners, all who make a combined millions of dollars in salaries, travel, and expenses. Then give these jobs (at a decent salary) to hard working professionally minded young people who will stay with the state to build it, not live off it like barnacles.

Pre K needs to be revamped and made available for low performing counties in terms of TCAP assessment scores. If a county is making the grade, it means they have involved parents and outstanding teachers.. Do they really need Pre K in every school? No.. The real question is, does the the soon to be Gov have the cohones to pull the trigger on education?
