When it comes to wealth the County of Williamson comes in at only 17th according to Forbes magazine. But when it comes to providing a comfy enclave for the conservative Right, however, WillCo is just tops.
Rep. Marsha Blackburn tells reporter Aleksandra Kulczuga why the county is "the best place on earth."
“One thing that I think is quite unique about this area is the community there is formed of people that love having a solid and enriching quality of life," Blackburn told The Caller. "They fully believe that it is important to give back more than you take. The community is incredibly generous, charity events are numerous. Our friends and neighbors seek out opportunities to give back.”
Factors considered in the selection included (but were not limited to) presidential election voting history, median household income, state tax burden, state concealed weapons laws, as well as several "intangibles."
A county, as defined by The Caller, must have a population of over 50,000 and be "a county-level unit, which includes parishes in Louisiana, independent cities in Virginia and boroughs/municipalities in Alaska."
Wilson County, Tennessee, the only other county from the state on the list, clocked in at #46.
