The white progressive conscience of Nashville's Metro Council is stepping out, so to speak, in support of Nashville's transgender community.
Councilwoman Megan Barry, a woman oft-speculated to have an eye to higher office, will be the keynote at the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition's third annual fundraising dinner on October 18.
Tickets are $20 per person. The dinner will be held at Morgan House at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Green Hills.

If a candidate/councilperson participates in a discussion with someone who is of or identifies with a different gender, I think even to joke that they are "trading their current spouse" is just elementary.
