UBS Tower in running for hundreds of state, Serta jobs

Florida real estate firm Rubicon Equities looks to be on the verge of hitting a big-money triple a year after its purchase of downtown UBS Tower. Adam Sichko at the Nashville Business Journal reported Monday afternoon that two state departments with about 430 employees are close to sealing a move to the Deaderick Street tower, with a move-in date slated for next spring. Separately, Getahn Ward at The Tennessean writes that executives at mattress giant Serta are negotiating a lease with Rubicon that would bring 100 workers to the 29-story building and that an Australian financial services company is looking at a big chunk of space there.
