The parent company of First Citizens National Bank, which runs two branches in Williamson County, has signed an agreement to acquire Southern Heritage Bancshares and its three offices in the Cleveland, Tenn., area. The transaction is worth about $32 million and will lift First Citizens' asset base to $1.5 billion. Lawyers from both Waller and Baker Donelson are working on the deal, which still needs shareholder and regulatory approval and should be complete during the third quarter. Last summer, First Citizens' two Franklin offices were home to a combined $65 million in deposits.
