Tractor Supply executives have for a while looked at the western United States as one of their biggest growth opportunities. Recently, they opened the doors to their first stores in Arizona and have signed leases for a handful more in other parts of the state. Randy Guiler, director of investor relations, says several more will follow in 2014 as part of the company's push to grow its square footage by 8 percent. Given the company's long-term plan to open more than 250 stores in the West (see below), look for the Arizona store count to climb to around 30 in the coming years.
