Nashville-based personnel recruiting firm TA Staffing has launched an on-demand digital interview division called TruHire.
The TruHire platform allows hiring managers to view on-demand interviews and conduct live video interviews nationwide.
In a release, TruHire founder Jeff Bates said rapidly changing technology has created the opportunity for human resources departments to significantly increase the efficiency of the recruiting process while eliminating costs involved with candidate travel.
“I’ve been in the recruiting business for over 20 years and we’ve failed to reinvent ourselves,” Bates said. “This platform will help eliminate ‘blind date’ interviews and allow hiring managers to bring only strong candidates in for face-to-face interviews. It’s a better way to deliver candidates to employers in a way that doesn’t waste either party’s time.”
TruHire’s interview platform involves industry-specific screening questions that candidates respond to digitally, allowing employers to “meet” applicants before arranging formal interviews.
Once questions pop up as text on the candidates’ screens, the interviewees have 30 seconds to think about the question, and up to three minutes to answer.
After a candidate completes the interview, the assigned evaluators or hiring managers receive an email indicating that the candidate is ready to review, which then enables the evaluators to evaluate at their convenience — on their phones, from home, anywhere, at any time.
Once all candidates have completed the interview, analytics can be produced to show which candidates are likely good matches.
