Erlanger Health System has expanded its 10-year relationship with Franklin-based M*Modal by adding outsourced transcription and front-end speech recognition to the group of services it already uses.
M*Modal Fluency Flex will now give Erlanger’s physicians the same cloud-based technology that powers M*Modal's back-end speech recognition and transcription process, a statement reads. Fluency Flex also gives doctors the choice to dictate their orders by land-line phone, handheld or mobile devices if they are not near a work station.
"We are proud to expand our relationship with Erlanger to provide sophisticated and flexible technologies that will give physicians tremendous freedom in how they create and manage patient records," said Duncan James, CEO of M*Modal.
Erlanger Health is based in Chattanooga and is a nonprofit, academic teaching center affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.
