A hospital in HCA's TriStar Health System has partnered with Rhode Island-based MinuteClinic in Bradley, Hamilton and Marion counties in the Chattanooga area. Financial terms of the deal, announced Wednesday, were not disclosed.
Parkridge Health System doctors will serve as “medical directors” for seven Minute Clinic walk-in clinics in Chattanooga, Hixon, Signal Mountain and Cleveland. Patient education and disease management initiatives are also part of the agreement. Parkridge will accept patients who need a level of care not provided among MinuteClinic services, according to a release linked here.
"As we have experienced with TriStar Health in Nashville and in other communities in the U.S., strategic clinical affiliations between MinuteClinic and health systems such as Parkridge enhance our ability to extend high quality medical services to patients in convenient retail locations near where they live and work," said Dr. Andrew Sussman, MinuteClinic president and senior vice president and associate chief medical officer of MinuteClinic parent CVS Caremark.
MinuteClinic also has a clinical affiliation with TriStar Health for its clinics in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
