Ground to be broken for AmSurg building in Burton Hills

Ground will be broken Friday on the Burton Hills building that will become home to the offices of surgery center operator AmSurg.

The company, which currently occupies roughly 90,000 square feet in two Burton Hills buildings, will consolidate its operations to the new development.

The project — a 110,000-square-foot building whose investors include principals from Eakin Partners — should be online by the time AmSurg's current lease expires in 2014.

Hastings Architecture Associates is designing the structure.

AmSurg has 350 employees in Burton Hills and operates, in partnership with physician practice groups,  about 240 ambulatory surgical centers nationwide.
