Anchor Tours, a Nashville-based motorcoach transportation company, today announced the purchase of Brantley Charter Inc. in Lexington, Tenn.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With the acquisition, Anchor Tours will now have four offices, with the other two located in Paducah, Ky. and Tuscumbia, Ala.
“This is a natural extension of our business, making it possible to provide affordable services in the western part of the state, including Memphis,” Jared Stancil, Anchor Tours vice president, said in a release. “With these strategically located facilities, our offices can support each other to cover volume or unforeseen service interruptions, and our main Nashville garage can provide scheduled state-of-the-art maintenance rotating our equipment to all offices assuring safe transportation to our customers at all times.”
Danny and Nancy Brantley have owned and operated Brantley Charter, which is known for its signature lilac coaches, since 1988. Bud Hale, an Anchor driver and former manager of the Tuscumbia office, is handling the day-to-day operations at the Lexington facility.
Over the coming months, the lilac motorcoaches will be rebranded with Anchor Tour’s white exterior with red and black accents.
