The Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare has chosen Franklin-based Passport Health Communications Inc. to create a "national coordination of benefits solution" for its trade association and nonprofit alliance members.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The council is based in Washington, D.C.
According to a statement released today:
“Providers and participating payers will be able to access the CAQH cost of benefit information to identify primary and secondary insurance coverage and better coordinate patient benefits for episodes of care.”
“CAQH selected Passport to be a partner in this effort because of its deep expertise, broad provider presence, strong technical ability and proven track record of delivering solutions that simplify healthcare administration,” said Robin Thomashauer, Executive Director of CAQH.
