Smartvue unveils cloud video surveillance server

Local security and surveillance video technology company Smartvue Corp. has launched Smartvue S9i, with the cloud-based server to be unveiled this week at the 2013 International Security Conference in Las Vegas.

TheS9i is powered by Intel and Microsoft Windows Azure.

“S9i enables organizations to cost-effectively deploy and centrally manage thousands of surveillance servers and cameras worldwide,” Martin Renkis, Smartvue founder and CEO, said in a release.

John Deatherage, Intel director of product marketing, said the new cloud-powered platform is suited for those entities seeking video surveillance for multiple-location businesses.

S9i supports "plug and play" integration for more than 300 cameras from multiple vendors and runs on almost any browser on Windows and Apple computers with no software to install. Its “point and click” configuration allows users to integrate cloud-powered video surveillance using existing networks, hardware and infrastructure.
