Uncle Bud’s opens in Cool Springs

Uncle Bud’s has opened a restaurant in Cool Springs, marking the company’s sixth location.

The company that operates the down home eateries also has locations in Nolensville, Smyrna, Franklin, Donelson and Murfreesboro. Located at 401B Cool Springs Blvd. near Aspen Grove, the newest Uncle Bud's offers both a traditional menu — including catfish, southern fried chicken and hushpuppies — along with lighter options such as lemon pepper mahi and grilled or boiled shrimp.

“We’re really excited to bring Uncle Bud’s to Cool Springs,” Craig Dever, co-owner of Uncle Bud’s, said in a release. “The team has worked really hard to come up with a menu that is affordable and offers enough choices to accommodate the whole family. We’re famous for our catfish, the more health-conscious tend to love our grilled chicken and fish options, and we can’t keep the kids away from the free ice cream with purchase of a kid’s meal.”

The new location seats 96, offers an outdoor patio (pictured here) and features a “whimsical décor,” according to the release.
