Vanderbilt Campus Dining taps Georgia company to streamline foodservice operations

Vanderbilt Campus Dining, a nonprofit VU-managed auxiliary service, has selected Agilysys, Inc.’s Eatec inventory and procurement system to streamline foodservice operations in 19 campus locations, including The Commons and Rand dining centers, multiple restaurants and caf├ęs, and three retail markets.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in a press release.

Agilysys, stock shares for which trade on the Nasdaq, is based in Alphratetta, Ga., and is a provider of information technology and hospitality software targeting the hospitality and foodservice industries.

"Eatec allows us to accurately forecast and manage food costs in real time,” Camp Howard, director of Vanderbilt Campus Dining, said in the release. “And its two-way integration with our POS system provides real-time access to a complete P&L, from revenues to costs. The system also gives us the ability to make nutritional content and allergen restriction information available to our customers as well as track our sustainability performance.”
