Patient Logic lands Kentucky facility for first user of application
Franklin-based Patient Logic announced Tuesday that Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Ky., will be the first user of its physician documentation platform. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Patient Logic’s physician documentation application is designed fit into the workflow that clinicians experience daily. Rather than relying on application developers to design new systems, Patient Logic assembled a 12-member physician advisory board to help focus developers on reviewing patient charts, documenting care plans and creating orders.
“In my experience, you just don’t see physicians pick up an EHR module and start using it after 30 minutes of instruction, so that proves how easy to use and intuitive Patient Logic has made its Physician Documentation system,” Dr. Frank Newlands, Patient Logic chief medical officer, said in the release.
Rockcastle Regional Hospital comprises a 26-bed acute-care facility and a 93-bed skilled-nursing facility.
