Nissan employees at the automaker's plant in Canton, Miss., are attempting to create a union — but with limited traction thus far. To date, some workers have claimed their efforts have been met with company intimidation and discrimination. Actor Danny Glover, the United Auto Workers Union and the state chapter of the NAACP are supporting the workers, a group of whom appeared Tuesday night on MSNBC's The Ed Show with Ed Schultz. Nissan officials are not making media appearances regarding the matter, but have issued a statement denying any mistreatment. Mississippi Public Broadcasting has the story here.
