This time it’s an Ohio-based insurance company.
Paramount, a health insurance company located in Maumee, Ohio, is the latest company to align itself with Healthways’ SilverSneakers program, an exceedingly popular senior adult fitness regime that has quite literally taken the health care market by storm since its inception in 1993.
Paramount officials made public today a three-year deal with Healthways (Ticker: HWAY) providing SilverSneakers to all of Paramount’s Elite Medicare Advantage Plan members in Ohio and Michigan. The program officially began Jan. 1.
“We are pleased to offer SilverSneakers as this service is in the best interest of our members and is consistent with our mission of keeping members healthy,” Mark Moser, vice president of marketing for Paramount, said in a company statement linked here.
Earlier this month, Healthways announced a SilverSneakers deal with Windsor Health Plan Inc., a multi-state opportunity for Healthways that places the program before Windsor’s 59,000 Medicare Advantage HMO members.
