Two major mixed-use projects proposed for Midtown and Green Hills, respectively, took steps forward following Metro Planning Commission on Thursday.
The commission approved by an 8-0 vote a four-year review of the specific plan zoning to be incorporated in Concord Hospitality Inc.’s $45 million hotel/office/retail project at West End and 18th avenues (read more here). Patel has equipment on site, with preliminary work already having started. With the commission approval, the project, to be anchored by two Marriott hotels, is ready for full-scale work.
Similarly, the commission approved by a 7-0-2 vote the specific plan zoning for a Green & Little development (pictured here) proposed for a Green Hills site at which Cleghorn Avenue and Crestmoor Road converge. That project, to include office and hotel space, will need to land an anchor tenant before moving forward (read more here).
