Harpeth Hall School math teacher Madeline “Maddie” Martin has received a Knowles Science Teaching Foundation fellowship valued at $175,000 and covering a five-year period.

Martin is one of 34 biology, physical science and math teachers nationwide (and the only in Nashville) to receive one of the grants.

A Harpeth Hall alumna, Martin joined the school’s upper school Mathematics Department this year.

The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation is located in Moorestown, N.J.
