SoBro tower gets new design
A quick perusal of the recently released Nashville Downtown Partnership Residential Report shows Giarratana Nashville and Chicago-based Magellan Development Group LLC have updated their rendering for SoBro, the proposed 33-story tower to feature 342 luxury rental apartment units, 378 parking spaces and more than 18,000 square feet of Class A, ground-level retail space.
SoBro is planned to rise adjacent to both the Encore tower and The Pinnacle at Symphony Place. Of note, the development team has opted for a new designer for SoBro: Loewenberg Architects. The previous architect was Solomon Cordwell & Buenz. Both firms are based in Chicago.
Officials with Giarratana Nashville could not be reached for comment as to the architect switch or for details about when the development team hopes to break ground on the project.
