Dollar General will pile $100 million into a new distribution center outside Philadelphia. The 900,000-plus-square-foot facility, which is expected to open in the fall of 2013, is expected to employ about 500 people and will service about 1,000 Dollar General stores in the Northeast. Dollar General officials in April opened a similar facility in California.
