Nissan expects boost in Leaf sales
Nissan Motor Co. anticipates that production of the Leaf at its new plant in Smyrna will help overcome a slowdown in deliveries of the all-electric vehicle and double U.S. sales to 20,000 before the current fiscal year ends in March, Bloomberg.com reports.
The Smyrna facility is expected to be ready to begin production in December. The Leaf currently is made at a single plant in Japan.
