The owners of popular downtown bar/eatery Benchmark Nashville have opened a second location at 204 21st Ave. S. The building that houses Benchmark was most recently home to Dooley's Tavern and painted an odd brown, orange and bright green. It has also accommodated Nick & Rudy's Steakhouse, The Frayed Knot, Varsity Grille and, what many old-timers will recall, Ireland's.
