Fitch Ratings has raised its opinion on Community Health Systems and Tenet Healthcare, saying the companies have better financial flexibility than before. The upgrade says CHS has done a good job maintaining profitability despite iffy patient volume growth and by making solid acquisitions. But, Fitch says, it'll be crucial that its recent pricing power persists — something that may not be a given when it comes to Medicare and Medicaid.
