Local WeCar program grows to 18 vehicles

Nashville’s WeCar celebrates two years of operations this month, with the car share program having grown to 18 vehicles during its lifespan.

In 2010, the Nashville Downtown Partnership (which oversees the program) arranged to have WeCar establish a presence in the city with four cars. The partnership said downtown still has four vehicles, with Belmont University (two), Lipscomb University (two)  and Vanderbilt University (five) offering public usage. The Tennessee Valley Authority has a five-car private program.

In addition, the local WeCar program now has 93 members.
