Nashville foreclosure drop outpacing nation's

RealtyTrac is out with the latest foreclosure data on the nation's metropolitan markets. Nashville shows well, ranking 102nd with a foreclosure per 293 households. The 2,275 foreclosures registered in Middle Tennessee in the first quarter were down 24 percent from a year ago. That compares favorably to the national drop of 16 percent and those of Atlanta (-11 percent from last year), Memphis (-16 percent), Charlotte (+20 percent) and Louisville (+29 percent).
