PharmMD hires health care analytics director

PharmMD has hired Kempton Presley as director of health care analytics. Presley (pictured) will lead the Brentwood-based company’s client advisory and reporting effort delivering medication management, population health, and savings information to plan decision-makers.

Previously, Kempton worked for WellPoint, where he led a team of health information advisors to create and present financial and clinical analytics. As an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Public Health, Kempton developed and still teaches a class on health IT strategy. He received a B.A. in economics from Washington & Lee University and a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University. Presley, who is also doing graduate work in medical informatics at Northwestern University, has co-authored work that has been published in the Journal of Biomedical Informatics.

“We’re privileged to have Kempton on board,” Bo Bartholomew, PharmMD CEO, said in a release. “Kempton’s recognized by colleagues and peers, and his expertise in health analytics is key to PharmMD’s growth strategy.”
