The first residents of Pine Street Flats are moving in, nearly one year after developer MarketStreet Enterprises broke ground on the mixed-use Gulch building. MarketStreet got its certificate of occupancy last Wednesday and started moving in tenants on Friday, said Dirk Melton, the company's development director.

“We’ve got about a third of the building preleased," Melton said, noting the retail-apartment building's units will have a phased delivery. "We're running way ahead of projections."

The remainder of the project is slated for a spring 2013 completion.
