TSU ag college adds duo

The Tennessee State University College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Sciences has added two key members, TSU officials announced today.

Dr. Fitzroy "Roy" Bullock (pictured) has been appointed to the Statewide Extension Education leadership team. Bullock will oversee the development of agriculture and natural resource training programs and content disseminated through Tennessee’s Agriculture Extension Network in collaboration with the University of Tennessee.

Bullock’s previous leadership experience includes service as chairman on the University of Georgia’s Forestry Committee. He was founder and president of the Tennessee Vegetation Management Association, a collection of state, federal and local municipal governments that provide training and management guidelines to professional applicators for weed and vegetative growth control in public right-of-ways.

Bullock holds a doctoral degree in plant and soil science from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Science degree from Tennessee State University in the same field of study.

In addition, TSU has added Leslie Speller-Henderson as the statewide family and consumer sciences program coordinator for Cooperative Extension.

Speller-Henderson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in food and nutrition from TSU and a Master of Science degree in family and consumer sciences from Alabama A&M University.
