Country Weekly Editor-in-Chief Lisa Konicki announced Monday the publication has hired veteran music journalist Jon Freeman as deputy editor.

Freeman most recently served as managing editor of MusicRow, overseeing the Nashville music industry publication's website content as well as its national radio chart. He will help oversee Country Weekly's digital components, including.  CountryWeekly.com.

Freeman is a graduate of Auburn University and also attended Belmont University.

Freeman’s hiring follows CW's promoting Joseph Hudak from deputy editor to managing editor in October.
