Berkshire bids adieu to Dollar General

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway took its shopping basket out of Dollar General during the third quarter, selling all of the 3.3 million shares it owned as of June 30. The move is worth about $165 million but isn't totally out of the blue: Berkshire had been trimming its stake way back in the first quarter. Shares of Dollar General (Ticker: DG) closed Thursday trading at about $48 and are up 16 percent so far this year.
