The 11-story Hilton Garden Inn that Chartwell Hospitality Group has slated for SoBro will soon be one step closer to reality, as the Franklin-based hotel developer is planning to close on its construction loan in mid-December.

Rob Schaedle, Chartwell president and co-founder, declined to identify the bank that will provide the financing. He did say that, pending final Metro approvals, site demolition will begin on the $38 million, 200-room hotel in January.
