BNA ranks 36th for to-and-from international air travel
The Brookings Institute recently released a 2011 study showing how much international air traffic passengers moves to and from the airports of major metropolitan areas.
For Nashville International Airport, the numbers saw 389,025 international passengers (39th of 90 airports surveyed) travel to and from BNA. In 2011, the number was 475,277 (36th of 90 airports surveyed), an increase of 22.2 percent.
Latin America represented the main region of the world for those international travelers flying to and from BNA, an increase of 22.8 percent from 2003. The most common metro transfer point for those travelers using BNA and for the time period was, not surprisingly, Atlanta, with 75,472 passengers.
